Tom Walkinshaw Racing won four Bathurst 1000s and six V8 Supercars championships before its demise in 2002. Now the son of the TWR founder wants to revive the name to build bespoke sports cars.


Tom Walkinshaw Racing – the UK-based motorsport firm responsible for six V8 Supercar championships, and which played a role in the creation of road-going Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) Commodores and the Jaguar XJ220 supercar – is poised to return as a sports car-maker.
