The new two-row crossover Mazda North American Operations unveiled Tuesday is the Japanese automaker’s nod to the fact that a good many consumers may be ready for electrification, but not ready to make the full jump to battery-electric vehicles.
Arriving in dealerships this spring, the 2025 CX-70 is available as a hybrid or plug-in electric hybrid—PHEV, but there won’t be a battery-electric version of the mid-size SUV, or any Mazda vehicle in the lineup, for now.
