A man working on WA’s Metronet passenger rail project has died in a suburban park after being run over by a car.
Police and ambulance officers were called to Halliday Park in the Perth suburb of Bayswater shortly before midday today after reports a man had been struck by a vehicle.
The dead man was a worker at the nearby Metronet Bayswater train station site, which is weeks from completion.
Metronet said the man was a subcontractor working on the project.
