Tesla’s semi-autonomous driving tech cleared of fault in US crash

A US court has found Tesla’s semi-autonomous driving system – marketed as ‘Autopilot’ – was not at fault in a 2019 crash, but the top road safety regulator is still investigating other fatalities attributed to the technology.


US electric-car giant Tesla has won a legal case against its controversial semi-autonomous technology, after a jury found the driver assistance system was not responsible for a 2019 crash in Los Angeles.
