Toyota Hi-Lux, Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max are the top three selling vehicles in Australia in March, as Tesla’s market share slipped slightly.

Across the whole market, new vehicle sales were 3.9 per cent lower at 97,251 compared with the same month a year ago.

On a year-to-date basis for 2023, sales have increased 2.5 per cent for the first three months compared with a year earlier.

Full battery electric vehicles are 19.5 per cent higher than the same month last year. Mr Weber said there were no passenger vehicles in the top 10 selling brands, and utes were the three biggest sellers.
