Australia’s new car sales have bounced back, achieving an August record led by Western Australia, which had the highest increase of any State for the month compared with the same period in 2022 — as well as the highest year-to-date increase.
WA customers took delivery of 11,637 new vehicles compared with 8784 in August 2022 — up 32.5 per cent — pushing our total to 82,358 so far in 2023, compared with 69,908 over the same period in 2022 — up 17.8 per cent.
